Kate Latimer is a Toronto based documentary editor and producer. She holds a MFA in Documentary Media from Toronto Metropolitan (Ryerson University) and a specialist honours BA in English from the University of Toronto. She is a co-host of the Parking Lot Podcast. She was the editor-in-chief of a Toronto based arts magazine, ADONE, and a journalist for a Cape Town magazine, Cape Chameleon. Through journalism, she learned the responsibility of telling someone else’s story, bringing a level of empathy and compassion to her work. Examining what it is to be human through narrative and story, she hopes to shape the world of documentary with a lens that is hopeful for the future.
